Hello, my name is Mrs. Hurt. I have taught at Eula for 17 years. This year I am teaching 6th grade math, and 5th grade math. The goal that I have for my students is for them to be successful in math. I want them to become better problem solvers and to be able to use this skill in the real word.

We will also work on basic study habits this year. I hope to incorporate study skills such as notetaking, skimming, highlighting, and checking answers. These are lifelong skills that can help to build success. Classtime is spent on group instruction, guided practice, and then time to start on their individual assignments.

Math Labs will be used to extend the lesson and give students an opportunity to ask questions and get help with specific problems.
